A New Faith And Culture Exposure (ANF) aims to stimulate theological reflection and cross-cultural perspective by introducing the clergy to a ministry wherein the realities and environment different from their own.

A New Faith And Culture Exposure (ANF) is expected to:

  • Equip the clergy to work as a missionary
  • Enable the clergy to work and/or to develop their work in a multicultural context
  • Prepare the clergy to work with church’s international partners
  • Enhance the church’s capacity in line with its human resource development strategy, enabling it to better pursue its mission priorities

A group of twelve (12) clergy will spend six (6) weeks in Jamaica from 1 September to 17 October 2014 to be hosted by the United Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands (UCJCI).

Theology and The Arts

Workshop: Liturgical Music of the 21st Century. An International Proclamation through the Art of Music                                                                              

The Caribbean region will be the venue for Council for World Mission’s Theology and the Arts May 16-22, 2014. Located in Kingston, Jamaica on the grounds of the Mona Campus of the University of the West Indies the conference will bring together twenty musicians, composers and writers to reflect on the realities of their own home contexts and to develop material which tell stories of those contexts.

Participants will gather from Trinidad, Argentina, India, Sweden, Grenada, Scotland, Brazil, Jamaica, South Korea, Singapore, Canada and Nigeria.

The conference is organized by the Reflect and Research department of CWM.
